I Will Sing As Long As I Live
I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. Psalm 104:33
There are moments in life when singing comes easy.
When everything is going well, when prayers are being answered, when joy feels full—praise flows naturally.
But then there are other moments.
Moments when life feels heavy… when prayers seem unanswered… when your heart is carrying more than your voice feels able to express.
And yet, this verse doesn’t say, “I will sing when things are good.”
It says, “I will sing as long as I live.”
That means in every season.
In joy and in sorrow.
In clarity and in confusion.
In strength and even in weakness.
For me, this verse isn’t just Scripture—it’s a calling.
It’s a reminder that my praise isn’t based on my circumstances… it’s rooted in who God is.
There have been moments in my life where I didn’t feel like singing. But even then, something deep within reminded me: He is still worthy.
And maybe you’re in a place right now where singing feels hard.
Maybe life has taken a turn you didn’t expect.
Maybe you’re carrying something quietly.
Maybe your faith feels stretched.
But here’s the truth:
God is not waiting for a perfect song.
He receives your praise right where you are.
Even if your voice trembles…
Even if your heart is still healing…
Even if all you have is a whisper…
It still reaches Him.
So wherever you are today, let this be your reminder:
As long as you have breath…
You still have a reason to praise.
Prayer
Lord,
Thank You for being worthy in every season of my life.
Even when I don’t understand, even when things feel uncertain, help me to keep my heart anchored in You.
Teach me to praise You not just in the good moments, but in every moment.
Strengthen my faith, steady my heart, and remind me that my voice—no matter how strong or weak—is still an offering to You.
As long as I live, let my life be a song that brings You glory.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
